Character Animation: Appa

If you’ve watched Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender, you definitely know Appa. After coming across some Appa fan art, I got inspired to bring him to life. I recreated the elements in Illustrator, then animated the components in After Effects. The animation is comprised of the primary movement — head, body, tail and the secondary movements — face and hair. Overall, had a blast brining this baby Appa to life!
